I stayed here with my teenager for a few nights. We took the bunk room which was sufficient for our stay. The room is small - but for the amount of time spent there was not an issue. They also have lots of hooks/hangers to organize your stuff. We had a great view from 17th floor with blinds to block out the sun and the illuminated billboards which are very bright and would have made sleep impossible without the blinds. The location is extremely busy all times of day- and there were a few homeless hanging about but I honestly felt safe on the streets the whole time. It’s a bit of a walk to get to Times Square but definitely do-able. There are lots of places to eat. And convenience stores plus a target really close. The subway is really close too. The hotel offers walking tours which we didn’t partake of but which I would have found interesting if we had the time. The concierge lady was wonderful. We asked some directions the first day and on day 2 she remembered us and specifics about where we had planned to go. They are also very organized with printed directions ready to go.

I hadn't stayed in the area before & had no idea about what Pod Hotels was about. Well I can say this, I will definitely return, and also try the other Pods. I booked a full pod and it had almost all I needed (see didn't like comments). I had floor to ceiling windows of which could be partially opened for fresh air, and shutters to cut out any noise and light for light sleepers. I was lucky to get a street view and would watch NY come alive below me. The room had a bed, desk, small hanging area, great safe & luggage storage under the bed. Everything had been really thought out for the space. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was compact, clean & inviting, loved the white subway tile, the shower was good & water hot. Some people might not like the frosted glass into bedroom, but understand it gives more light. The housekeeping team on my floor were fantastic. There is a grocery store literally around the corner, a great deli also one corner around & multiple restaurants/diner a couple of blocks away. 42nd St Port Authority one block away. Times square is a few blocks away.

I spent one week with my wife. This hotel is really in the the heart of the City. You can reach easily whatever you want by walking. For instance, Times Square is less then 10 minutes, Bryant Park 15 minutes and so on. There are a lot of restaurants/pizzeria nearby. About pizzeria I suggest Don Antonio, for coffees Grind and Dallas BBQ for steaks, burgers, chicken wings etc. Close to the hotel there is the main subway station Port Authority 24/7 for all the City's destinations. We came with public transportation subway line E from Jamaica station because we arrived at the JFK airport. The hotel was extremely clean, lovely staff very helpfull welcomed us with a big smile. The room was very clean with comfortable mattresses and amazing Manhattan's view. Breakfast a la cart at the Serafina Lobby's floor. For sure we high recommend this hotel to everyone.

I did not realize there was a bar and a restaurant until we were leaving - maybe at check in the staff can give a little information on the restaurant hours (would have been handy in the morning for coffee) and bar hours. Staff were all very polite and professional maybe they thought that would have been chatty - let them know people in their 60's don't typically mind chatty :)

We loved the location. This stay exceeded our expectations! Close to Times Square and bus/subway station, staff was wonderful especially at the front desk and housekeeping, we had a great view, and very clean. I was amazed for the price they made the beds and freshened the room daily.
